It's my 4th week of the E-word challenge, and what a week it's been. My wife was out 3 days, the [insert clever word for blizzard] hit Chicago, and our nanny got stuck at home 1 day. Our daughter has decided this is a great time to start crawling – exciting, but she could work on her timing.
It kicked my butt.
It's been a tough week, and you can see by the log that I missed 2 days in the gym. I pulled it together today, but I'm going to try a schedule adjustment. Doing the gym M/W/F and the home portion Tu/Th/Sa when my wife is working is a bit silly, so I'm going to swap it and see how that goes.
I'm sticking with it.
This 30-day challenge may take 50 days by the time I'm done, but I think the key for me is to stick with it. I have a bad habit of hitting an obstacle in my workout plans, getting discouraged, and taking an all-or-none attitude that always ends in none. If I miss a few days, it happens. It's going back right away that counts.
